Which In Turn Has Allowed Studios To Release All Those Movies

This weekend, Netflix will add a documentary series, a British thriller drama miniseries, and a horror movie. The coronavirus pandemic continues, but that hasn’t stopped theaters all over the world from continuing working as normal, which in turn has allowed studios to release all those movies that had to be delayed. However, streaming services continue to be the main source of entertainment for many, with many of them still housing movies that skipped theatrical releases while also adding original content. Such is the case of Netflix, which not only keeps welcoming movies that didn’t release in theaters but also keeps adding new licensed and original content every week.

Last weekend, the streaming giant welcomed the fifth seasons of Better Call Saul and Queen of the South, and the thriller movies The Call and Nightcrawler, along with the documentary Return to Space, the fifth season of the teen drama series Elite, and the teen comedy movie Metal Lords. This weekend, Netflix won’t see much licensed content either, with multiple seasons of the animated series Lego: City and LEGO Friends: Girls on a Mission, the anime movie One Piece Film: Z, and the horror movie Ouija: Origin of Evil.

All eyes, then, will be on this weekend’s original content, and Netflix subscribers will get to enjoy a documentary series narrated by Barack Obama, a British anthology drama series based on a novel, and a British horror movie. Here are the best movies and TV shows coming to Netflix this weekend - April 15.

Our Great National Parks

The newest addition to Netflix’s catalogue of documentaries is Our Great National Parks. This five-part series, narrated by Barack Obama, invites viewers to experience nature in the world's most iconic national parks. Spanning five continents, the series brims with wonder, humor, and optimism as each episode tells the story of a national park through the lives of its wildest residents and explores our changing relationship with wilderness. Traveling from the waters of Monterey Bay, California, to the bright red soil of Kenya’s Tsavo National Park, the lush rainforests of Indonesia’s Gunung Leuser National Park, the majestic terrain of Chilean Patagonia, and more, Our Great National Parks beckons viewers to get out and explore, create new ways for these wild places to thrive, and vigorously preserve them for future generations to come.
